Who is wtm Jacob?

I mean, it’s true, but social media can be deceiving.

I’ll start about eight years ago, when I made my first YouTube channel. From the very beginning I had this weird love for creating content. It’s been the thing pushing me for years, even though for a long time I didn’t understand the actual potential behind it.

When I was 14 I got my first job at a car body and paint shop. To this day it’s still my favorite job I’ve ever had. Sadly it only lasted a summer because school exists and apparently child labor laws are a thing. After that I made my debut in the fast food world: Chick fil A, then Culver’s, and finally Red Robin. Somewhere in between, and sometimes literally at the same time, I was doing deliveries for a personal chef, putting up signs for a real estate agent, and working as a lifeguard.

While I was at Culver’s, I learned about online business and the whole “make money from your phone” thing. After work, I’d hang out with a good friend of mine and we’d look into different business ideas and try building stuff. Eventually we found one that worked. Over that summer as a lifeguard, it took off. Since the business mainly thrived in the summer, I picked up a job at Red Robin during the school year. By then I had decided I was going to pursue entrepreneurship instead of college, and since I was still in high school, my mom helped me enroll in an online school.

Shortly into the school year I realized the potential of the business we’d started, so I quit Red Robin and went all in. Since the business was entirely online, a lot of my days started to feel boring and repetitive. I needed something else to keep me moving. That’s when I started the wtm Jacob account.

Before that I had made accounts in the past. I had an art page that got close to 3000 followers, but after a year I quit posting to focus on other things. This time was different. I was determined to grow this account, so I started posting and didn’t stop.

After the new year, I fell into a good rhythm of uploading while still running the business. I figured I’d try picking up another job, but this time something with real skills I wanted to learn. Sales. One month in and I realized it was nearly impossible to grow in that company while keeping up the business and content, so I quit. The bright side is that month gave me a ton of skills and notes that I can apply anywhere in life.

Fast forward to spring and summer and the business boomed. Until it didn’t. The friend I was working with had a grievance with me and cut all contact, which tanked the business with it. Around this time the content started to grow more consistently, and since the business was basically dead, I went all in on content again and it exploded. I started gaining thousands of followers a day. For a moment I genuinely thought I had made it.

Of course that growth didn’t last forever and eventually the momentum stopped. After a year of posting consistently, brand deals, and a whole lot of fun, growth slowed down and eventually tanked. Around that time, another friend reached out asking if we could revive the old business. Looking around at everything, I realized it was time to shift focus back. I still loved content and wasn’t quitting, but the business needed attention again.

Since then we’ve built it up again, with some bumps along the way, and I’ve built a few extra income streams too. An online store where I dropship phone cases. Shooting content for people I know. Just stacking skills and stacking experiences.

Now that I’m 20, my eyes have opened to the simple truth that I need to surround myself with people who want to succeed like I do. That’s why, throughout my 20s, I’m building The Move. A network for people like me. A place to connect, grow, and actually build something alongside each other.

So now that you know who I am and where I’ve been, here’s how to connect with me. If you want to grow with me, meet people like you, and be part of something real, click the link and join The Move immediately. No waiting. No application. If you know you belong here, step in.

If that’s not your vibe and you just want to say wassup or ask a question, shoot me a DM and I’ll respond.

But if you read this and you feel like you belong in a room with people who want more out of life, then join my network. Let’s connect and grow together.
